Nutella?, in its original form, was first created in the 1940s by Mr. Pietro Ferrero, a pastry maker and founder of the Ferrero company. At the time, cocoa was in short supply because of rationing due to World War II, so chocolate was very limited. So Mr. Ferrero used hazelnuts, which are plentiful in the Piedmont region of Italy (northwest), to extend the chocolate supply.

Hello. My name is Rachel, and I'm a chocoholic. I have a little bit of chocolate at least once a day. My mom actually introduced me to this product and I've not been able to put it down since. She discovered it in France where I guess it's a pretty hot item.

I can't tell you how much I love this product. It's creamy and smooth. About the consistancy of peanut butter. It has a rich creamy chocolaty taste with a hint of hazel nut. It's great on crescents, wheat or white bread, crackers, it goes well with peanut butter, it's good on fruit like pears, apples, or banana's. If you like chocolate, you will more than likely like this product.

The down side is chocolate, in general, usually contains a lot of calories. However, new research has shown that moderate consumption can actually have health benifits. So, go ahead and enjoy your chocolate, but in moderation. :)

I grew up eating Nutella and when I came to the US I was surprised that almost nobody knew it. It should be mandatory to eat Nutella that's how good it is! :) OK OK, so I am a Nutella fanatic and maybe not mandatory to eat it, but to try it LOL Ferrero never lets us down.

I had only found this item in the military commissary's until I did the search on Amazon. They had it. If you like chocolate and hazlenut this is the spread for your toast or bagel or English muffins. So smooth and spreadable. You gotta try it.

A relative of mine came back from Europe and I tried a sample. It is so good, you can put it on anything, fruit, bread, crackers, and more. It tastes like a dessert, you have to try it!
