One of the hottest sauces I have ever had and, unlike many, tastes strongly of peppers, not of vinegar. Exactly what I look for in a hot sauce.

If you like hot sauce more for the flavor than for sheer hotness, you cannot go wrong with El Yucateco. This variety is 8910 scovilles, so neither totally mild nor unbearably hot. El Yucateco makes the most delicious commercially sold hot sauces out there. This one in particular lacks the vinegary taste of some of the cheaper sauces, and lacks the sweetness of Tabasco. That said, if Tabasco seems hot to you, you will want to shop elsewhere.
El Yucateco makes several varieties of hot sauce (all available in a sampler pack El Yucateco 4 Habanero Hot Sauces Gift Pack, 4 Items), but the Green Habanero hot sauce is one of my favorites. Perfect on eggs, chicken, or any grilled food---just really a home run. This is a hot sauce that captures the deliciousness of the habanero pepper without overwhelming you with outright spiciness. Yum.
